#YOGA
with the belief we’re all here for a reason, from the moment after we’re born we spend our lives, subconsciously, working towards finding that reason, that purpose, that gift. richard pilnick decided to explore this notion further through the gift he was blessed with, photography. with the intention to better understand himself through his images and the interactions with the beautiful souls of this world.

with the intention of exploring the human body, both mentally and physically, richard turned his vintage method of large format photography and his lens towards yoga and yogis of the world.

in a meditative state, richard works in a serene manner with his subjects to capture the true beauty of the human body, mother natures finest creation, and of the yoga asana itself.

stay true to yourself

love connects me with the world
curiosity is a bridge
recognition is a ferry
individuality keeps me away

there is no other man
to hide behind
there is no strange shadow
to conceal myself

binding and independence
sociability and solitude
so apparently irreconcilable
day and night, sun and moon
so unique connective

path of lonely thoughts
where changes disturb
but he walks on
continuity and determination
individuality is nothing without personality

heart thinks – mind feels – body speaks
nothing more is possible
 if it is only possible
what the head explores will reach the body what the head explores will never soften the heart
observe fine think deeply analyse sharp perform clear
sensitivity for others few words about the i patient, the warm heart peaceful, the cool mind

everything is possible when it seems impossible
